Shahani Inc. (“Shahani,” “we,” “us”) is a family-owned fuel distribution and commercial real estate company based at 14 Sycamore Way, Branford, Connecticut. This policy explains what information we collect through shahaniinc.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- What you send us. When you fill out a form on the Site (contact, commission agent inquiry, lease inquiry, fuel supply or branding request, contribution request, or job application), we collect what you enter: name, business name, email, phone, address, the town or site you are asking about, and your message.
- Job applications. If you apply for a job, we also collect the employment history, education, references, availability, and resume you provide. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank details, or other sensitive identifiers through the Site.
- Business onboarding. Dealer and customer onboarding paperwork, such as tax forms, is collected separately. We will tell you how to send it securely when you start the process.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may record your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies. The Site uses cookies and similar technology to keep it working and to understand how it is used. We do not use cookies to show you advertising.
How we use information
- To respond to your questions and requests, and to follow up about fuel supply, branding, leasing, or commission agent opportunities.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To review contribution requests from charities and nonprofits.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, including those that apply to fuel distribution.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run our business: with service providers who host the Site, send email, or analyze traffic; with our fuel brand partners when you ask us to start a branding request with them; with professional advisors such as accountants and attorneys; and with authorities when the law requires it. If Shahani is sold or merged, the information may transfer to the new owner.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for 10 years and job applications for 10 years, then delete or anonymize them, unless the law requires us to keep records longer.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No website or email is completely secure, so please share only what is needed.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information you gave us by emailing info@shahaniinc.com. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not work as well. To stop marketing messages, reply “unsubscribe.”
Children
The Site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Links to other sites
The Site links to partners such as fuel brands, the Customer Portal, and app stores. Their privacy practices are their own.

We will post updates here and change the effective date above.
